Merv is a dedicated christian and puts a great amount of emphasis on family relationships. Merv understands that now more than ever we need strong families that stand together in times of trials. Where families are broken, there is much hurt and confusion in which the children are most hurt from the tragedies. When families pray together, laugh together, and cry together; they stay strong and relationships will never fail during the hard times. When you have a strong family, you have a strong church, when there is a strong church, you have a strong community; when there are strong communities you end up with a strong state. Finally, a strong and powerful state will lead to a strong nation.

Merv believes fathers everywhere need to be leaders in the home as God had intended us to be and validate our children. If your son is not validated by his own father, he will tory to find in all the wrong places (eg. drugs, alcohol, girls, and all kind of other perversions). Your daughters as well need to hear from their father that they are beautiful. This is a core heart question each girl is looking for. Am I really beautiful? If this is not answered by us as fathers, they will look for an answer in all the wrong places.

Merv as a leader in the home and an ordained minister in the church with the gift of an evangelist has no greater joy than seeing his children come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Merv loves to spend time with his family and realized that it is so easy to get to busy and forget those things that are most important. The biggest failure a man can have is to gain the whole world but lose the heart of his wife and family.
