Interested in the owner of Countryside Cabinetry and wonder what kind of life he lives? Interested in what motivates him or how he spends his free time? Wonder what makes him "tick"? This page gives you a brief look into lives of Merv and his family.

Merv's Family
Pictured from left to right:
Carol, Mervin, Lorene, Larry, Brian

There is nothing that Mervin enjoys more than spending quality time with his lovely wife and growing family!

It was with heartfelt joy that each child was warmly welcomed into the Yoder family as a special treasure with which God had blessed them. By God's grace they endeavor to train their precious children for His honor and glory. This does, however, take an abundance of love, respect, and devotion to both God and each other.

A tremendous time investment is needed to "train up a child in the way he should go." Merv and Lorene spend this time with their children in a variety of ways, including: worshiping God, singing, working, and playing together. They often spend time reading and studying about God together as a family.

Below are some pictures showing some things the children enjoy.

Brian basketball

To the Left: Brian, Merv's youngest son, is posing for a picture for his favorite sport: basketball.

To the Right: Larry, Merv's eldest son, is enjoying his 13th birthday with friends.

Brian on horse

To the Right: Brian is riding the family pony and learning how to teach it a stopping technique. This pony is a prize possession in the Yoder family.

Carol on horse

To the Left: Carol is loping through the pine trees near her house enjoying a sunny Saturday afternoon. Carol loves to ride the pony as much as possible and is always trying to learn new things while riding...

To the Right: Carol is enjoying a birthday celebration with friends and family.

In order to build relationships (and give his wife a lift) Mervin will often be found in the office, on the job site, or simply going for a drive with his children. There's nothing like time to build relationships!

Hard work never hurt anybody and Merv leads by example. Never afraid to get his hands dirty, he'll roll up his sleeves and dig in. He believes in the saying, "Anything worth doing is worth doing right!" Merv holds his children to the same values and principles that he exemplifies in his own life.

"Do everything as unto the Lord!"
When you work for Christ you don't do anything in a haphazard way!

Merv usually enjoys woodworking, but there are times when he is needed in the office. Merv has been working in the cabinetry business since he was 14 years old. His dedication to his principles has lead him to a successful and godly life. Merv is also a minister in a local Mennonite church.
