Not only does the Pencil Post bed come in solid wood, the slats are securely fastened on to the side rails by small dowels protruding from the Pencil Post bed's rails, making the bed even more stable.

All the king size Pencil Post beds, as well as the queen size Pencil Post beds come with a center leg for additional mattress support. (There is a 9" clearance under the bed for easy sweeping.)
